Historic St. Charles Company Begins Its Centennial Celebration in 2026

Warwick Publishing, one of the community's longest-running family-owned businesses, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. Founded in 1926 by the Paschal family, what started as the much-respected The Vally Chronicle newspaper has been reinvented over the last century—while remaining rooted in American manufacturing, craftsmanship, and service.

For more than 60 years, Warwick operated as a local newspaper, printing more than 100 million copies and serving as a central voice in the community. Over time, the company shifted from newspapers to printed media and eventually into a wide range of consumer and business products, including calendars, stationery, notepads, presentation folders, packaging, and custom printed goods used by organizations across the nation.

Today, Warwick remains a proud St. Charles employer and a fifth-generation company. More than four thousand people have worked under the Warwick banner over the past century, and the company's products have been used by hundreds of thousands of businesses looking for reliable, American-made solutions.

"In 1926, Lina sent us all on a journey," said Alex Paschal, CEO and 5th-generation owner. "She didn't know it at the time, but that purchase of The Vally Chronicle eventually led to a newspaper that ran for 63 more years, more than 100 million printed copies, and later a pivot to printing over 20 million calendars under the Warwick name. But the real story is the thousands of employees who have called this place home and the customers who have trusted us throughout the years. Our centennial is a celebration of them."

As Warwick enters its next century, the company continues to invest in local manufacturing, advanced technology, and product innovations while keeping its roots firmly in St. Charles. The centennial year will feature community outreach, historical storytelling, employee spotlights, and events recognizing the people who shaped the company.

"For us, this milestone isn't just about reaching 100 years," Paschal added. "It's a reminder of what's possible when a business stays committed to its community, its people, and American manufacturing. We're proud to call St. Charles home, and we're excited for the next chapter."
